The Abbeyfield Society and Castleoak celebrate Ivor Goodsite hoarding competition success

Castleoak’s care home construction site in Winnersh, Berkshire, for The Abbeyfield Society, has achieved runner up in the national 2015 Ivor Goodsite hoarding competition run by the Considerate Constructors Scheme.

Morgan Palmer, Contracts Manger at Castleoak, comments, “Castleoak is committed to creating positive community relationships and supporting our customers in their work to engage with local residents. By inviting local Wheatfield Primary School to take part in the Ivor Goodsite competition, we have established a rewarding relationship with the school and a great foundation for The Abbeyfield Society to develop over the coming years.”

“Our construction team has thoroughly enjoyed working with the school and it is terrific to see their collective efforts recognised as one of the best in this national competition,” he adds.

Wheatfield Primary School head teacher, Mrs Homer comments, “As well as being a lovely opportunity to get the children using their imaginations and having fun getting creative, the competition was a great opportunity to educate the children about site safety and careers in construction.”
